SPACK ("Smart Preparation AI Curriculum Kit") is an AI-powered learning application developed to help students generate custom exams from curricula or personal study materials. Your privacy is fundamental to us. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your information when you use the SPACK mobile app and website.

1. Information We Collect

We collect minimal information necessary to provide the AI exam generation and rewrite features.

a. Information You Provide Directly

• Account Data (optional): If you create an account, we collect your email address and name to sync your quiz history across devices.
• Study Materials: Text, PDF, DOCX, or typed notes that you upload or paste for AI question generation.
• Quiz Responses: Your answers to generated questions, including which questions you answered correctly or incorrectly.

b. Automatically Collected Information

• Usage Data: App launch frequency, selected courses/subjects/exam types, number of questions generated.
• Device Information: Device model, operating system version, unique device identifiers (for analytics and crash reporting).
• Crash Reports: Anonymous error logs to improve app stability.

c. AI Processing Data

When you generate questions from your material or a curriculum prompt, your content is sent securely to our AI provider (e.g., OpenAI API) temporarily. It is processed solely to generate your questions and is not retained by the AI provider for training or any other purpose beyond your immediate request.

2. How We Use Your Information

• Generate custom exam questions based on your selected settings or uploaded materials.
• Track your failed questions to enable the "Rewrite" feature (prompting you to retake incorrect questions each time you launch the app).
• Calculate and display your scores at the end of each exam.
• Improve SPACK's question quality and user experience.
• Send service-related emails (e.g., account verification) — no spam or marketing without consent.

3. Data Storage & Retention

• Quiz History: Your quiz results (especially failed questions) are stored locally on your device. If you create an account, they are synced to a secure cloud database to enable the rewrite feature across devices.
• Uploaded Materials: Any file or text you upload is processed temporarily to generate questions and is deleted from our servers within 24 hours. It is not used for any other purpose.
• Account Data: Retained as long as your account is active. You may request permanent deletion at any time (see Section 7).

4. Third-Party Services

SPACK integrates with trusted third parties to function:

• AI Provider (e.g., OpenAI API): Generates questions from your prompts. Data is transmitted encrypted and not stored.
• Analytics (e.g., Firebase, Mixpanel): Anonymous usage data and crash reporting. No personal identifiers.
• Cloud Database (if account used): Securely stores quiz history (failed questions, scores).

Each third party is contractually bound to protect your data and cannot use it for their own purposes.

5. Children's Privacy

SPACK is intended for students preparing for exams (typically ages 13+). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with data, please contact us, and we will delete it immediately.

6. Data Security

We use industry-standard encryption (TLS/SSL) for all data transmission. Your study materials are processed in isolated environments and automatically purged. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. You use SPACK at your own risk.

7. Your Rights & Choices

Depending on your location (Nigeria, GDPR region, or CCPA region), you may have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Correct inaccurate data.
• Delete your account and all associated data.
• Opt out of analytics tracking via device settings.
